ERROR WRITING/READING DEFAULTOFF and ERROR EMPTY INI FILE

Unusual error to get. This usually indicates something wrong with the .inf file for your modem drivers.

Suggested that you uninstall, reboot and reinstall your modem using your original modem driver disks, then if possible update your modem drivers to their most up to date drivers.
