Dial Up Networking Error 717
No IP addresses are available in the static pool of Remote Access IP addresses..

This is a fairly self explanitory error message.

Essentially your ISP's dial up pool has enough modems answering.. but the IP pool (each customer dialing in gets their own IP).

Without an IP address, your computer can't pass traffic to the internet.


Some things to try:

1. disconnect and reconnect (dial back in).

2. attempt to receive an IP from your ISP. Essentially you are making your PC say, "Hey PC here, can I have an IP please". To do this, open an MS-Dos prompt and type in the following command. 'ipconfig /renew'
This will tell your PC to attempt to renew it's IP allotment from the ISP.
