Usually you have selected the wrong modem in your connectoid. So check the modem selected in your connectoid and make sure you select the corrent one for your computer. Also, in modems in the control panel, I'd suggest removing any modems listed there that aren't really installed on your computer, which can lead to confusion and errors like this.

As well, if you are using an external serial modem, and you have changed to a different extrernal serial modem, you will need to install the new drivers for it, or that could also leave to this error as well.
