Try with these steps to install the BCM update
1) Enable .show hidden files and folders.
If the OS is Windows Xp Operating System then follow
Start >My Computer >Tools >Folder Options >View Tab >Check Show Hidden Folders and Files and uncheck Hide Extensions
For Known File Types
If the OS is an Windows Vista /Win 7 Operating system then follow
Start >My Computer >Organise >Folder and Search Options > View Tab >Check Show Hidden Folders and Files and uncheck
Hide Extensions For Known File Types
2) Rename mapisvc.inf from c:\windows\system32
3)manually download and install the update (KB957324)

Error 779 - Dial up Networking - To dial out using this connection, you must use a smart card.
Odd error.. usually a user gets this error because in TCP/IP, on the Security Tab, they accidentally selected "Use a
Smart Card for Authentication.. Or possibly they didn't check it if they needed a smart card.
Not a common error since Smartcard's are not gaining market share in the residential world. Business users are more
apt to use a two factor authentication method (such as tokens) instead.
If you are a business user and you are still having issues, you might want to contact your Helpdesk and check to see if
SMS/SCCM has made any changes to your laptop whimight cause this error.
